The Sustainable Development Investment Fund participated in the workshop “Exploration and design of solar air heaters with focus on their technical and financial applicability in rural Armenia”
For the first time in Armenia, a study on “Exploration and design of solar air heaters with focus on their technical and financial applicability in rural Armenia” is being carried out. As part of the study, a workshop-technical discussion was organised on October 8, during which the international application of solar air heaters and the proposed methodology for assessing their energy efficiency and other technical characteristics were presented, including some preliminary results of methodology testing.
The Sustainable Development Investment Fund, as well as representatives of other interested organizations participated in the workshop.The workshop was organised within the framework of the “EU for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in the Communities of Armenia” project, which is co-financed by the European Union and commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany, with implementation by GIZ as part of the ECOserve programme. During the event, the employees of the Sustainable Development Investment Fund also presented proposals regarding the applicability of solar air heaters in the Republic of Armenia.
