SDI Fund taking in consideration the strategic importance of enhancing energy
resilience and sustainability in the Berd Enlarged Community, particularly considering itsborder location and infrastructure vulnerabilities signed MoU with Berd municipality of Tavush region.
The initiative aims to implement an integrated pilot which will combine energy
efficiency (EE), solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, and storage electric systems (SES),
together with institutional strengthening and community awareness.
The framework of cooperation of the MoU of understanding is
- The identification and technical preparation of a selected public building for pilot intervention;
- The conduction of integrated energy audit and technical design;
- Development of a comprehensive EE–PV–BESS solution;
- The institutional strengthening, including the establishment/appointment of the institution of a municipal energy manager, training of a relevant specialist.
- The Community awareness raising and dissemination activities.
